With a Masters Degree in Exceptional Education and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Jessica Sorkin has advocated for students as a university administrator, public school consultant, and resource specialist in working with students from the university years down through the primary grades. She has a broad understanding of federal laws as they relate to accommodations ~ at universities, schools, and the adult workplace. Jessica has mentored in conjunction with CSUN and has been recognized in Spring 2008 by Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic in their "Teacher Spotlight". She has developed and delivered in-services for schools, colleges, and AHEAD (at the Association of Higher Education and Disabilities' annual international conference). Jessica's university handbook, procedures, and departmental forms have been published along with a video she co-authored entitled "Your Choice Your Life". Jessica Sorkin continues to support the exceptional educational community with innovative ways for students to recognize their strengths in maximizing their potential.
